Memorial Bench

11 Nov 23

On the 11th November 2023, we held a dedication ceremony to officially present the Memorial Remembrance bench to the community. It was a beautiful ceremony, with pipers Evie and Aimee Busher from Burntisland & district pipe band in attendance, playing some very moving tunes. At 11 o'clock there was a 2 minutes silence to mark armistice day before former FAB chairperson Scott Smeaton said a few words to thank everyone for coming along and for their generous support of FAB over the years.

Scott, who came up with the idea for the bench, also thanked KS Fabrication for their help designing and manufacturing it. The bench itself is located at the Porte end of the High Street and was kindly paid for by the wonderful donations of the people of Burntisland.
